The good news — at least this irrational freak isn’t in Minnesota anymore! Apparently Florida is now the new haven for right wing idiots who don’t believe in the separation of church and state and believe that science is wrong because it doesn’t agree with ancient Biblical verse.

Bush says intelligent design should be taught along side evolution..
Now, if Bush said we should teach alternative ideas like the sun orbits around the earth or that you can get pregnant from kissing or that blood letting is an efficient medical practice, there would be an outcry. But because radical Christians have their heads so far up their asses that they refuse to acknowledge the overwhelming evidence of evolution compared to absolutely zero evidence for intelligent design, somehow the President can be on the record saying something this fucking stupid. Unbelievable. Teaching alternative ideas is not a stength when those ideas are completely fucking looney.
I think some people get confused. This is your life. This is it. One shot. That’s it. If the universe is 14 billion years old (which is what we think), your life will occur in roughly 0.0000006% of it. You are nothing. You are a rounding error. The span of your life, roughly speaking, never happened. This is for you. You are here for you. Not to go wild in some extreme exercise of hedonism, but to live a life worth living. Whether you are you or Jesus you will be forgotten. Nothing has an impact on the largest time scales. This is not a message of hopelessness. It’s a message of hopefulness. You are here, right now, and it is a fucking miracle. You are a miracle. You are an ungodly unlikelyhood. The odds of you happening are basically zero. You are alive, dammit, and that is a wonderful gift. Get up, brush yourself off, forgive yourself and get on with doing the real work of your life. Re: my whole rants about the fact that we don’t live in a G-rated world, I think that it is perfectly reasonable to expect that you can ask Ann Coulter adult questions. Big deal if there was kids in the audience. The question is pertinent when people argue that marriage is for making babies. In our society today, making babies is not a requirement for marriage. The fact that he asked the question in a vulgar manner should not in and of itself be cause for arrest. Do we really not have free speech if we use swear words? Is that rational?
Ann Coulter is admittedly a brutal critic of the left. She is apparently free to spit our her venom but can’t handle it when people spit it back? Fuck her.
So I’ve been playing with this podcasting thing and I find it to be quite fun but I don’t really know if it is a better way to talk about this stuff than writing or not. I’ll keep fooling around, I guess.

This cracks me up. Two conservatives arguing over who has been friendlier to Hilary Clinton. This shows, to me, just how low the right is sinking. You can’t even be friendly to a liberal anymore without taking a political hit. Both of these people are idiots.
It reminds me of these two idiots — Ann Coulter and Catherine Crier complaining about Tina Fey. a) I love Tina Fey and b) do these dumbasses realize she is on a satire show? Perhaps they should look up satire in the dictionary.
So I’ve been fooling around with the podcast thing but also intend to continue to write my rants and essays and such. I realize some people may not care for one or the other.
