Appeasement

This is entertaining:

It’s a key point and it is good that Matthews pushed it: appeasement does not mean “talking to”. It means giving up something in hopes of avoiding a conflict. Neville Chamberlain tried to appease Hitler by signing the Munich Agreement, conceding part of Czechoslovakia to Hitler.

John F. Kennedy said “Let us never negotiate out of fear, but let us never fear to negotiate.” I agree with him. I think Bush is a dumbshit.

That wasn’t entertaining. That was painful. Why must you subject us to that?

    Also by Thomas Jefferson:

“Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations; entangling alliances with none.”

    Who is that dumb ass?

It pretty much sums up the last 7 years of policy. All gas and zero knowledge or substance. I have to post this over at

Government by fear. I’m sick of it. Fuck fear!

“he who gives away liberty for implied safety deserves neither”
(or something close to that) T.Jefferson
