I checked prices for tickets for various destinations, New Zealand, etc, via priceline in the January 12-13th timeframe, but, when it came to entering a bid, I had to factor in travel time, vacation time, etc, and it wound up being a little to expensive. Perhaps a once in a lifetime opportunity.
It was of course quite spectacular as well (not quite to the same magnitude) in the Northern Hemisphere as well. A few shots before it made it’s was around the sun;
