George W. Bush is going to lose the presidential election in 2004. Here’s why.
We all remember the 2000 presidential election. It was a close one. Very close. The way the election was decided by the Supreme Court was unique in American history. In terms of the upcoming election in 2004, the main thing to remember from the 2000 election is that George W. Bush did not come close to getting the most votes. Al Gore alone got more votes than Bush, but when you add in Nader, more people voted for liberals than George Bush by a fairly significant margin. (Gore+Nader got 3.4 million more votes than Bush.) So a big question now is: are the people that voted for Gore or Nader likely to vote for Bush? Do you think Bush is likely to get new voters out there? The answer to both questions is no. This fact alone could spell doom for the idiot king Bush.
But there’s more: given that Bush narrowly won the 2000 election, you’d think he would have some sense that the country is split. There was no clear mandate for a right-wing agenda in that election. Yet the puppet masters who run Bush have had a hay day implementing a radical right wing agenda. The list is impressive: making abortion illegal, hacking back environmental laws, going to war over oil, appalling tax cuts for the rich, a premeditated attack on public education, infiltrating government with faith-based this and that. This guy has done nothing for the majority of voters who did not vote for him. He basically lied about being a compassionate conservative to get elected and then reverted to the ol’ boy right wing corporate whore that he is. For the hoards of intelligent, fiscally conservative, environmentally conscience and socially progressive folks out there, this guy is a loser.
Now clearly there are a lot of conservatives in this country. Many or most of them are intelligent people with the best interest of the country at heart. Many of them will not vote for a Democrat no matter what happens. They’d rather have a bad conservative than a good liberal. These confused people that think flag waving is patriotic and paying your taxes isn’t are going to mobilize in a big way to keep the irrational tax cutter guy in office. While they claim to be fiscally conservative, they want to put the war in Iraq on the credit card and have their kids pay the bill instead of them. A segment of these folks can be reasoned with, but the fact remains that this next election will be close.
There are two main things that could happen that could put ol’ dubbya back in the White House. One, we could get a strong liberal third-party candidate. The conservatives are too smart (or too stupid) to ever back a third-party candidate. Liberals, by definition, are willing to consider alternatives to this dumb-ass two party partisan paralysis we are locked into. As much as I think we need to break the two-party stranglehold, now ain’t the time. Nader, please sit this one out. Two, the Democrats could choose a insincere plastic wannaba like Gore. Gore was a crappy candidate. What’s funny is: Gore could have probably made a very good president. It was the candidate part he sucked at. So far all of the Democratic hopefuls look pretty good. I think Bush is going to be outmatched in virtually every measurable quality in regards to the capabilities of a leader.
You have to do your part in this. First of all, vote. If you don’t vote it means that George W. Bush is your man. A lot of people that didn’t vote in 2000 hate this president. You gotta fucking vote. Second, spread the word a bit. Speak out in reasonable and rational ways about the deeply disturbing policies of this administration. Get people thinking about this stuff a little deeper than their own pocket books. Most of all, get your friends to vote, regardless of who they will vote for. Drive them to the voting booth if necessary. Put a voter registration form in front of them. The more people that vote in this next election the less chance there is that George W. Dumbass will win. The imbecile cowboy has got to go.

My first comment is to say that you need to work on balancing out those meds a little better fella.
Next, I want to say that approximately half of the Americans out there effectively pay no taxes. In total, about 3 out of 4 Americans pay less in taxes than they incur in government expenses. That means the top quarter of income earners are really paying for everyone’s tab. Since any help for these people is a seen as a an injustice, I have to think that most people have no real clue about who is paying for what in this country.
You betcha I think the people who pay for your government services deserve a tax break as well. I mean, please. I have a lady who works for me who gets a tax refund every year that is much bigger than the aggregate FIT she pays into the system. I know because I cut her paychecks and she tells me how big her refunds are each year. Is that fair? Is it good, fair and right when she drains the government for 15-20K per year and gets more back in refunds that she pays in the system while I pay for alll of her, expenses incurred, my expenses incurred and her net refund from the government? Why not have the federal government give her a gun so she can stick it to my temple and just tell me to give her my money? Seems like the same thing to me.
Get a freakin clue about the tax code and who is paying for everyone’s fair share before you waste anyone’s time anymore. Sometimes ignorance like yours is funny. Today, its just annoying.

While I have my problems with Bush too, I think blaming Bush for every ill in the world is just plain stupid.
1. The job numbers have been improving recently so its not all gloom and doom.
2. We have to importat many people skilled in job fields we cannot produce enough eduated Americans to fill. We do not produce enough doctors, engineers or computer programers. Instead we crank out Art History majors by the thousand who are qualified for nothing more than the task of calling me at 6:30 in the evening while I am sitting down with my family so they can ask me if I want to refinance my mortgage, buy a magazine subscription or whatever. Bush did not create all of this imbalance in the focus of our educational system. Its been going on since long before he came into power.
Part of our problem is a culture that fosters selfish and self indulgent behavior while giving everyone license to blame anyone and everyone except themselves. If you do not have a job, then find one. It may not be fun and it may not pay well, but there are jobs out there if you are not too proud to do what you are qualified to do. If you want to do something better, then get an education that is relevant to the job fields in demand. Everyone cannot be a doctor or an engineer, but many people could become a nurse. Did you know that 85% of the currently active nurses in the USA will most likely retire within the next 12 years? We already have a shortage in the nursing field and we are about to have a huge boost in demand for additional nurses as the baby boomers continue to age. Why don’t some of these, I can’t find a job people, get off their asses and train to be a nurse? This is not the only job field that is and will be in demand, but I hope it helps to drive home the point that there are a lot of good paying and secure jobs out there for people who are willing to take a little personal responsiblity and get off their asses and work for it.
Oh well, forget what I said. Its a lot easier to blame an idiot like George W. Bush for EVERY wrong in the world and absolve ourselves from any personal responsiblity.

Well, for a while, it’s seemed to me like this election is going to be fairly close, though Kerry will probably win. The polls seem to be about 48%-43% in Kerry’s favor. But now I think it will be an easy victory for Kerry. The point was raised before: Bush won in an extremely close race, thanks mainly to Nader, and some other MINOR problems. Chances are everybody who voted for Gore in 2000 will vote for Kerry in 2004. I don’t think Bush has won over any Democrats during this term. Secondly, I think that a lot of Nader’s supporters will choose to support Kerry this time, after learning a hard lesson in 2000. Bottom line: Kerry will win, probably 50%-40%. I don’t think terrorist attacks or any other “big events” during the summer will help Bush. On the contrary, I think they will probably hurt his ratings, proving to people his incompetence when it comes to security (which is supposedly his “strong point”). Nothing is certain in politics, especially national politics, but I’d bet it all on Kerry in 2004. As long as he stays inoffensive and fairly inconspicuous, Bush’s approval ratings will continue to slide. There will probably be some ghastly civil war in Iraq come June 30, and then who knows. Anyway, even if things are peachy from now til November, I would be extremely surprised to see Bush reelected, even if Nader ran. It just ain’t gonna happen.

Yes, George W. Bushit will lose his seat in the oval office. He is not, was not, and never will be ahead of Mr.Kerry in the polls. The fact is–there are 13 million more registered Democrats in the U.S. then Republicans. We the Democrats will be adding a few million more with the additional votes from the Green party. People THINK, go deeper than what Bush claims to be “good” about him. I agree anything can happen. My point is really that people and the press seem to think that the US is leaning more right than it really is. This country is split and my question is: is Bush changing the minds of people that voted for Gore or Nader? I doubt it.

It’s still too soon to draw any November conclusions. In most elections, the majority of people vote their wallet. If they like what’s in their checking account, they tend to stay with the incumbent. If the voters think they’re next in line to become poor, they’ll vote otherwise.
I think it helps to remember that Al Gore would have won the 2000 election if he had just won his home state. He also pushed Clinton away from him on the campaign trail. Bad move.
Come November, if the Iraq occupation is stabilized and the economy is roaring, then we’re looking at a replay of Reagan ’84.
If the situation is otherwise, we’re looking at either Howard Dean or Wesley Clark to replay Clinton ’92.

Recently I was in Bangladesh, Singapore and Australia. I met a lot of poeple white or colored and every body thought GW Bush is an idiot. He is driving this country to the ground. I am in the IT idustry. There are not many jobs in the USA, while countries like India is booming. We exporting white color jobs and I do not know what is next. I do not know why my kids will go to college. They do not need college degrees to work in the Wal Mart.
