The Lolife Podcast No. 60: Equations (Quicktime format)
While the thought of agreeing with Christian xenophobes like Shelly the Republican scares the bejeezus out of me, as someone who is radically secular, the thought of religious folks demonstrating because the press did not follow their religious laws just pisses me off. This has nothing to do with Muslims to me — I’d be just as pissed if it was Christians, Jews or Hindus. I’ve posted about this subject on my blog a couple of times and I’m not trying to beat a dead horse here, but here is the audio version anyway.
We should fillibuster Alito. Yes, he seems like a nice enough guy. The fact of the matter is, though, with Roberts and Alito both likely to lean towards the side of Scalia et al, we are fucked. We can’t let it happen. Unfortunately, fillibuster is the only tool in the toolbox. The Dems will be too cowardly to do it, is my guess, but they should. Look, you Right wing bastards, we gave you Roberts. We played nice. You owe us this one.
Holy crap, I’m way behind again on posting my podcasts to the web site!
No. 55 Part 1: Slacker Astronomy Chit-Chat
No. 55 Part 2: Slacker Astronomy Chit-Chat
No. 56: Alito and Spousal Notification
No. 57: Secular and Religious Christmas
No. 53 is a very short (~2 minutes) podcast about the so-called pro-life movement also known as the “government invades the doctor’s office” movement.
No. 54 is some thoughts on Monica Crowley, torture and the fucked-up Right Wing agenda.
No. 53: Pro-Life Ain’t
No. 54: Torture Should Be Off The Table
God, this cracks me up: The Hippie Killers.
These guys get drunk and make no sense from a ignorant, inbred, close-minded but still rather humorous perspective. I noticed them because they play my podcast about Judicial Activism and ridicule me.
I may return the favor and ridicule these guys on a future podcast. For now, go listen to them because they pretty effectively ridicule themselves by how wrong they are.
Falling behind on posting my podcasts on my blog again. If you like listening to my podcasts I really encourage you to subscribe. You’ll get the new ones much faster if you do.
No. 50: raintribe and ideaclub
No. 51: Bush’s Iraq Exit Strategy
No. 52: Bush=Dumb, Miers=Trouble
This podcast is some thoughts about the John Roberts Senate confirmation hearings. I veer off into a rant about the fucked-up Right Wing agenda at the end. FPS (fucks per second) gets pretty high.
This one is a rant about how this tired thinking of Left vs. Right is really not going to get us to the right place. Thus I declare the formation of a new political party The American Party.
This is a discussion about legal aspects of various political issues with my friend Mark. It’s called Questions of Law.
