This one is a rant about how this tired thinking of Left vs. Right is really not going to get us to the right place. Thus I declare the formation of a new political party The American Party.

Fired for Eating Pizza
Although he didn’t work in the department that held the meeting where the pizza was served, Garrison figured it was fair game since the company had bought it and it looked like it was going to be wasted if it wasn’t eaten. What he didn’t know is that several other employees had already worked out a plan to take the leftover pizza home with them.
When they discovered one-third of the leftover pizza pie had been eaten, the employees reported Garrison to management, ultimately leading to his firing last November — a month after he ate the food.
Although this is probably not as simple as it sounds, if you are one of the people that reported a fellow employee to the boss for eating pizza, you are a colossal loser.

The good news — at least this irrational freak isn’t in Minnesota anymore! Apparently Florida is now the new haven for right wing idiots who don’t believe in the separation of church and state and believe that science is wrong because it doesn’t agree with ancient Biblical verse.
Again I’ll say, at least she isn’t here! Thank you Florida!

A Wise Man Said
Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding.
We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.
These are by Albert Einstein. I think they are rather insightful and apropos to our current struggles in the world today.

I’m picking on Shelley the Republican again. Here I’m challenging conservatives to tell me where I’m wrong on the issues of abortion, taxes, international cooperation, the environment and guns. I know we disagree on some things on these issues, but I believe we should be able to agree on the big picture and it confounds me that we don’t. This is the podcast version of The Things On Which We Agree.

Here are two podcasts. The first is thoughts on the issue of podcasting, bandwidth and revenue. The last thing we want is for success to kill podcasts. We need to figure out a revenue model. I suggest one.
In the second one I introduce by polar opposite, Shelley the Republican and debate her on her views on the war in Iraq.
Thoughts on podcasting in regards to bandwidth and revenue.

George W. Bush — Dumber Than A Box Of Rocks
Bush says intelligent design should be taught along side evolution..
Now, if Bush said we should teach alternative ideas like the sun orbits around the earth or that you can get pregnant from kissing or that blood letting is an efficient medical practice, there would be an outcry. But because radical Christians have their heads so far up their asses that they refuse to acknowledge the overwhelming evidence of evolution compared to absolutely zero evidence for intelligent design, somehow the President can be on the record saying something this fucking stupid. Unbelievable. Teaching alternative ideas is not a stength when those ideas are completely fucking looney.
