My observatory is a home-made wooden structure with a Home Dome fiberglass dome. Inside I have a 6-foot steel Astropier mounted on top of a 4-foot by 16-inch concrete footing.

My mount is a Takahashi NJP with the Temma2 computer. It has motors on both axes and tracks the sky at sidereal rate. It is a “go-to” mount that knows where it is pointing in the sky and can slew to objects in a point-and-click manner. I control the mount with a PC laptop running TheSky.

My telescope is an 8-inch (0.21m) Newtonian reflector and operates at f/4. It can also be configured to operate in Cassegrain mode at f/12. The telescope is equipped with a robotic focuser
